At TrampoLEAN®, we’re all about blending fun and effectiveness into your fitness routine. And the science agrees—mini-trampoline workouts aren’t just trendy; they’re transformative. A recent study titled;

“A Comparison Between the Effects of Aerobic Dance Training on Mini-Trampoline and Hard Wooden Surfaces on Bone Resorption, Health-Related Physical Fitness, Balance, and Foot Plantar Pressure” offers groundbreaking insights. Review the full study here.

Conducted in 2023, this research focused on Thai working women aged 35-45 over a 12-week aerobic dance program. Participants were divided into two groups: one exercised on mini-trampolines, while the other performed the same routines on a hard wooden surface.

Key Findings from the Study

1. Better Bone Health:

  • Both groups experienced improvements in bone health, with an increase in bone formation and a decrease in bone breakdown (known as bone resorption). However, the trampoline group gained an extra benefit: its low-impact, joint-friendly surface made the exercise gentler on the joints.

2. Improved Physical Fitness:

  • Participants in both groups experienced improvements in key fitness areas such as flexibility, muscular strength, and oxygen uptake. These gains highlight the benefits of aerobic exercise, regardless of the surface used.

3. Enhanced Balance and Coordination:

  • The trampoline group excelled in balance and motor coordination due to the trampoline’s dynamic, unstable surface that activates stabilizing muscles.

4. Reduced Foot Impact:

  • Exercising on trampolines lowered plantar pressure compared to hard surfaces, offering a joint-friendly workout perfect for those with foot or joint sensitivities.
